Michael Haskett was born in Fort Gordon, GA in 1972 and is the son of Michael Haskett Sr. and Tula Haskett. He was raised in the Upstate of South Carolina near Greenville and has been a South Carolina Resident for almost all of his life.

He attended Mauldin High School where he played football and was Band Captain. He also received the John Philip Leadership award.

After high-school he was accepted to Clemson University where he majored in Business and Marketing from 1991 to 1994.

After graduating, Haskett opened a restaurant, and then started his sales career when he went to work for Century Ford Lincoln Mercury as the General Sales Manager.

Later, in 1998 he started working as an agent for the Life of Georgia Insurance Agency.

In January of 2000 he married his wife Jennifer and they have two children. Max was born in July of 2001 and Mary-Tom in December of 2003.

Life of Georgia was bought out by ING and he served as a Branch Manager for them From January of 2001 to June of 2004.

Around that time he was offered the opportunity to become a Branch Manager for Bankers Life and Casualty here in Charleston, SC. He accepted the offer and moved from Columbia, to Summerville, so he could manage the Charleston Branch.

Haskett says that working for Bankers has been a rewarding aspect of his career. In 2005 he was named Rookie Manager of the year, and brought the branch to number 39 in the Nation.

Mike's vision of Owning his own Agency came to fruition in 2007 when he opened Cornerstone Wealth & Tax Advisory Group Inc.

He feels this agency creates superior options for mature Americans and better careers for the agents he works with.
